Lend a moment to your imagination and cast your mind back to your childhood – but replace your suburban surroundings with the Nepalese countryside. Where planned streets and roads are replaced by scarcely scattered buildings and rolling hills, with opportunities for schooling few and far between. Now that your mind has carried you there in thought, open your eyes and continue that spiritual journey in the Project 300 exhibition at the Matt Irwin Gallery from Friday May 11.

In her debut exhibition, photographer Aylin Ahmet takes you on a journey through the lens into the world of children living this very life every day. Ms Ahmet will exhibit some of the imagery she has experienced throughout her travels in India and in teaching some of the 300 children at the Chuna Devi school nestled into the outskirts Nagarkot in Nepal.

All money raised from the Photographs will be donated to the Chuna Devi school in Nagarkot, Nepal in educational and learning supplies such as pens, paper, books, pencils etc. You can support in the following ways:

  • 'Share' this cause on Facebook and other social networking communities.
  • Attend the exhibition and purchase any of the artwork.
  • Donate $$ at the exhibition.
